Privacy
Offshoot is a word game: one word root a day, sixty seconds, every word you can type. It collects as little as it can, and nearly everything it keeps stays on your iPhone.
What stays on your iPhone
Your results, streaks, settings and the words you have found are stored on your device only. We never receive them.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no sign-in.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and no advertising.
- No analytics or crash reporting from the app.
Purchases
Offshoot Plus is sold through the App Store. We never see your payment details; the app checks your purchases with the App Store on your device.
Our server
The app downloads the word data (the roots, their words and definitions) from our server, so new words can reach you without an app update. Those requests carry nothing personal: no account, no identifier, no information about you or your results. Like any web server, it may briefly keep standard request logs.
